In the spring of 2016, a vacancy arose in the large display case at the Chicago Athletic Association (between the Drawing and Game Rooms, respectively) and LSD quickly offered to fill it.

We then reached out to artist Nathaniel Russell with the prospect of showing work in the space and he kindly agreed.

Born and raised in Indiana, Russell spent several years in the San Francisco Bay Area making posters, record covers and woodcuts.

Having recently returned to Indiana, Russell spends his time “creating drawings, fake fliers, bad sculptures, wood shapes and music.”
