Ye Olde Holiday Shoppe

In the winter of 2016, the team at Land and Sea Dept. had a holiday shopping dream. What if all of their favorite local vendors could come together under one roof? What if that roof was our roof? And what if there were great food and drinks and music too? 

And so, Ye Olde Holiday Shoppe was born and has been produced annually since. Over twenty Chicago-based shops, makers, and artists fill the LSD studio space each year, drawing a great crowd of friends and shoppers alike. Familiar faces from Lumpen Radio manned the turntables, and Brown Brothers Tattoo popped up with some holiday flash. Parson’s Chicken and Fish served up Hopewell brews, No ‘Pagne cocktails, and spiked hot chocolate, and some snacks, too. 

A portion of proceeds from the bar and food sales were donated to Christopher House’s holiday program, helping to ensure that all Chicago children and their families had a joyful holiday season.

A warm, festive time was had by all who attended and participated.
