In 2013, our pal Josh Modell over at The A.V. Club asked us if we wanted to do ‘something weird’, which in this case was a pop-up, unannounced live performance with the METZ.  

Of course, obviously.

So we partnered with The A.V. Club and Sub Pop Records to present and produce an outdoor ‘flash’ performance with METZ, on the patio at Parson’s Chicken & Fish.  

The band pulled up, we all pounded a bunch of ‘Negroni Slushy’ cocktails, and the band then ripped into a brief four-song performance, surprising customers (pleasantly) and neighbors (not so much) alike.

The A.V. Club recorded the performance, and later included a portion of it as a part of their A.V. Undercover: Summer Break video series.  It can be viewed here.
